For example, Swakopmund claims it has its own  “BARON”  Baron Peter van Ginkel is indeed, of noble birth, but rather than sipping tea in a smoking jacket, Peter has built the Swakopmund Paintball & Adventure park since 2000 to its current state  at the base of the Swakop River .

The Adventure Park centre’s host a huge outdoor paintball complex and a 18 Hole Mini Golf Course , The only one in Namibia, cleverly built into the vegetation and banks along the Swakop riverbed . In the evenings, the Adventure Park becomes a calm, semi outdoor place for a relaxing drink. Its open plan design makes it a great place to hang out if you want to be a little closer to nature, yet it has enough glass and wood walls to keep the chill out on winter nights. Now added an awesome beer garden to relax in with a seating capacity of 600+ people . The Baron also host team building and functions for corporate companies, weddings, kids’ parties and about everything else.  Their custom made rotisserie spit braai machines produce some of the most amazingly tasty and succulent meat available in Namibia. It may sound odd to recommend a Baron for consultation on adventure activities, Functions, Team building etc, but in Swakopmund, it makes perfect sense!
